HONDA has unveiled a brand-new crossover SUV at the Tokyo Motor Show, scheduled to reach the UK in 2015. The compact-sized Vezel offers four-wheel drive and in Japan will come in petrol and hybrid models, although the 1.6-litre diesel is likely to feature in European specification. Combining the stance and driving position of an SUV but the design features of a coupe, the Vezel aims to compete with the increasing number of crossover vehicles that are winning sales from conventional hatchbacks.
Renault has confirmed that it’s working on a new coupe model, to sit above the Megane Coupe, but to be sized and priced below the existing Laguna Coupe. SKODA has transferred the big-selling Monte Carlo treatment first seen on the Fabia to its little brother, the Citigo. The Citigo Monte Carlo is based on the mid-range SE trim, but boasts stand-out black detailing including larger 15-inch alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, a rear mock diffuser, grille and door mirrors. Inside the cabin the changes include a 'sports' steering wheel and Monte Carlo red/black upholstery.
